I think he means American River. Let us know how it goes, took a spey casting seminar and killed the shad there a few months back. I'd go up there if I could catch some schoolies on the spey. Wonder if I could cast a spey rod from a kayak, LOL.

Nada.  Drifted minnows under a bobber for no takers.  Marked tons of fish on the finder but with all the debris in the water it's tough to tell what is what.  I think the American is slowly coming to a close for the year.  Time to start fishing the port!!!  :smt003

Half filled clear bobber with a 6 ft leader to a 2/0 circle.  This is my usual go to rig right before the sun sets.  About 30 minutes after sunset is when I start free lining.
