Although this is second hand info, I felt compelled to post this info to anyone going out of SC harbor. I got this info from a very responsible source that his boss was doing a practice session yesterday with the outrigger canoe club and they paddled over an aprox. 15ft Great White about 200 yards out from the Harbor entrance. Take this for what its worth. Beware brother and sister yakers.

tight lines, aka-Kimo

P.S.  I would not post this info if I thought it to be random small talk.

I thought I would remark on this sighting, to bring it back to top of posts for one, and on another note in case some of you have not heard, this Sunday is a Polynesian festival on the Santa Cruz wharf, food, music etc. In the morning are the Outrigger canoe races which the guys who spotted the GW were practicing for.

Just read this ten days after first posted. Been out twice thru that area since then. I'm now retroactively fearful. Of course the thing may well have been ten miles further down the coast a couple hours later.
