Merv:
Hope all is well, and that you had a nice dive this weekend.  I'm planning  on going tue or Wed- just need someone to respond to the hookup, as I will not dive solo.

I had a question regarding diving for my 12 yr old.  He really wants to start diving, and I've had him practice in the pool so far.  I was thinking of taking him  to somewhere calm like the cove at Russian gulch and having him practice diving in 8 feet of water and me guiding him (after I've picked my Abs).  Any thoughts?

Also, I need to get him some dive gear.  He has a wetsuit and a mask, but that's it.
I need to get him a snorkel, booties and fins and was wondering if you have any suggestions.

I ask you this since you have experience fishing/diving with your son.  Not sure when he started, but i'm sure you can give me some pointers.  If you prefer that I call you instead, let me know.  thx.
