Does anyone know the size difference between the full size outdoorsman 300 and the compact? How much shorter is the compact? Thanks guys.

your best bet is to call REI and ask a specialist - they sell 'em there. Or you can go to REI.com and do a search for the product - they usually give details / measurements.

I tried calling the sacramento store but they didn't know either.   :smt009

They did give me a number for yakima.

In case other people were intersted I got an answer. The compact is 26" tall and the full size is 26".
