Zero bait, zero 'buts, total skunk. Way different from last July.

wind - pretty calm, picking up at 11 when I left.
waves - very small, except for the occasional boat wake.
weather - high 50s, high clouds/fog, highly fishable.
folks - only about 10 boats in the Hog Is. area, not too many for a Saturday.
Overall - slooooowwww. Even the cormorants were eating plants instead of fish.

Tomales is a great place, you never know what you're gonna catch there, unfortunately sometimes it's nothin'

Still a great place to spend a nice day OTW.

Thanks for the report.

Thanks for the report. Sucks about the skunk but don't give up.  I read a report yesterday about a few halis and a sturgeon being caught at Hog.

I fished there this  morning for nada. Shiners were easy but the smelt did not want to play. A comml. guy caught five nice halibut in my general area this morning.  There is always tomorrow.
