Sean what do you have some hatchery ponds? Are the fish going to get out?

Mike:  We have big ponds next to the river that are for increasing groundwater recharge.  Normally, there is no way for fish to get in, but when the river overtops they try to get shelter behind the levees.  When the river recedes, we have ALOT of stuck fish.  We drain the ponds, and I round em up and put em back in the river.

We are safe, but stuck!  The russian went over the banks several places in Ukiah so the Perkins and Talmage bridges are closed.  We can't even make it that far though, a land slide at the inlet of our canyon has the road totally blocked.  I decided to punt...I am making jerky in the smoker.

Sean I Hope your already bought you champagne.

We are high and dry at home in Santa Rosa.

Headed to Healdsburg in a few to check out our cabin. Rarely gets this high
I guess my dock and ladder are in Gurneville about now.

They just ordered mandatory evacuations of the Gurne and Forestville areas.

Cabin looking good, dock and ladder must be gone under about 20' of very fast water.
River isn't as high as I thought, seen it higher. Amazing amount of water though, ocean must be brown for miles.

Saw a kayak floating down river lots of other stuff trees, propane bottles, picnic tables, freezer, canoe.
There will be a lot of junk a Jenner, we were thinking of all the firewood people have stacked in their
backyards GONE.

It's too bad so many people are having to deal with flooding to start off the New Year.
We used to have a House in Gurneville that got flooded most years it's a real mess,
the waters not too bad its the muddy mess left behind.

  Happy New Year Everyone
