Hey,

I'm going clamming at Tomales this upcoming Sunday on the 19th. I'm also building those PVC tubes to prevent holes from caving in.

I already have others who are willing to split with us, but we'll have one extra (15" diameter, ~40" length) that will be for $40. For comparison, the ones at Lawson's Landing are $35 w/o tax and 12" diameter, 36" length.

I'm located in San Jose, so if anyone's interested in buying one, just let me know or PM me.

You meant Sunday the 25th, right?

I have not been to Tomales, and never been clamming, but would like to make it a family trip.  Where would you be?  Do we need kayaks?  What else does a clam digging type person need?

Yes, it is an early AM tide at around 6:15 AM. I'll be launching from Lawson's Landing, arriving there at around 5 and hopefully on the water by 5:30.

Better call them ahead to check what time they'll open the gate.  Normally they're open the gate at 6:00am but they might open a little earlier on weekend around 5:30am.

Just contacted them again to confirm. Even if no one is at the gate, you just pay beforehand and then when you come out, they check if you've paid earlier. This is what happened to me last time.

I still have one more PVC pipe. I made them a little shorter, about 34" because I just measured my arm length and 40" seems too long.
