From Capitola Boat and Bait website:

http://capitolaboatandbait.com/fishing-report

Quote
"John and two stripers
This is John with his second and third stripers from the wharf this year. He caught these using a live sardine on a dead man’s sliding rig without a bobber close to the beach. John is pretty much the epic highliner of the day with these.

Elsewhere on the wharf folks are catching some sardines end to end, quite a few shiners coming up, and we’ve seen some pretty decent sized walleyes. Folks are working on that evening striper bite right now.

Away from the wharf, bait is in the marina from the outer edge all the way into the beach. It’s not thick but it’s all over the place.

Also of interest, Kurtis said he saw a 12-14 foot great white shark cruising around in 30 feet of water off New Brighton beach today.

Jim.

I'll be out there too but more than likely in a boat.  Don't want to worry about that fish.  I'll hail you when I get there.
