Topic: so f'n simple and good - i love it when the fridge is empty  (Read 1833 times)

gettin ready to head up to a wedding - wife is gone - playing mom and dad for the kid - look in the fridge - pretty bleak looking but I see bacon and cheese -

look in the cupboard and find a jar of seasoned artichoke hearts - god only know how long they had been there

so i decide to take a small piece of cheese and an artichoke heart and wrap it in about 1/4 to 1/2 slice of bacon.
(this is some weird flat can o' cheese we got as a gift but similar to havarti... kinda hard and crumbly with a smoky flavor)

wrap em up - put on a broiler pan and broil on high for 10 minutes

adding a bit of crab meat sounds really good - experiment and let me know what you come up with

take artichoke chop really fine<tapenade>, mayo bread, add cheese and cooked bacon grill in butter awesome sandwich
