I wonder if they got rid of the mostly sunken jetty, if the natural state of affairs would be any better?  The way it is now, the river has no place to go except to the north part of the estuary.

With all of the federal money dumped into the RR area to lift houses up above flood stage.....I wonder why these six houses were not lifted up?

I asked a fisheries biologist why they haven't removed the old jetty.  Her answer was "Well, I guess there are just too many unknowns."
