Bam Boo Reef Ablone dive and day at salt point August 7th

Hey all just wanted to put this out there Bamboo reef is going to be doing another abalone day and picnic here are all the details.

Let's the get the season started off right. If you've been wanting to try abalone diving or just don't know enough dive buddies to get out there as much as you like, then come on out to one of our Abalone Picnics! Let us be your dive buddies as we spend the day at South Gerstle Picnic area showing new divers the ropes and giving tips to the veterans. In the afternoon, we'll show you how to clean and cook the abalone and we'll try new recipes. Everyone brings a dish to share, and divers and non-divers alike are welcome to join the fun. Have a new abalone recipe? No better place to try it out!

As usual this is a weather-dependent event, we'll be calling everyone on the list the week of to confirm the event is still on- if you're not on the list you probably won't get a call. Need gear? Man I love the bamboo reef. I bought my first wetsuit there from Tom Stone. He gave me a killer deal!! I have been buying all my dive gear there ever since. I am gonna try to make this event. Tom knows how to have a good time.

In the afternoon, we'll show you how to clean and cook the abalone and we'll try new recipes.

I just need some lessons on pounding abalone. I will have 3 nice ones for them to show the proper method.
