I've hit humboldt a few times this last week..nothing. Not a big suprise, the bay can be a hard nut to crack. Was wondering if anyone else has hit the bay recently? Halibut's should be showing soon.

I got into the halibut there last year. It was later in the year though, the bait was inside and we used anchovies caught on a sabiki. A couple of times we dragged popsicles with positive results. You'll know it's going on when you see guys fishing for them, (the halis). The launch ramp will be busy too.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Did you check Humboldt Tuna?  I looked briefly and all reports are of pacifics, looks like they are about 300' line straight out.

If I hear of anything in the bay I'll report back here.
