I was at Aquan the other day and saw a new Trident.  They did away with the Rod Pod?  and put in a battery apparatus......doubled the price too.  I'm glad I got the old one!

That is not a Trident.  Its called the "Torque", based on the Trident 13 hull.  The reason for its price is the battery and electric motor which propels it.
