Mrs. Finaegelin and I went for a picnic at Kirby Beach today, watching the fog melt away through the early afternoon. Naturally I had to bring a fishing rod (much to Mrs. F's chagrin), and cast the beach for awhile. All I caught was this 6" skinny thing, and I couldn't decide if it was a baby ling cod or some other unknown beastie. It has some teeth barely visible in the last photo. Opinions, please?
Anyway, the picnic was truly memorable. Amazing views. Enjoy.

Looks like one to me.  How big was it?  The smallest I C&R was about 10".
