My first time at Carmel State Beach today vis was about 10-15. Got in too early on the out flow and current there was bit too strong for me so I didnt go out too far. Just hung out at the kelp and waited for tide to turn but called it quit after about hour and half. Only saw perch as I didnt roam too much. Bit of a  wind but very yakable from the beach.

I think those are baby, not quite fully developed, perch, not bait.  Perch have live young.

As in sharks an snakes? Bummer. Was wondering why I didnt see any small frys around. Thanks for the info. Another to do list, gut perch to make sure theres no babies. I need better gloves.

Natural Ice?.
Thought no one would notice  :glasses10:. Its an acquired taste. Got to have the right economic conditions and or desperation to try this stuff.  5.9% abv :chug.

Best beer is the one after a dive.

C'mon guys don't leave out the Steele Reserve 8.1% high gravity baby! 24 oz at your local liquor store for about $2.

That's my current favorite "Bum Beer"

I also like the large green cans of fosters for kayak fishing.

How do you cook those perch? I am always bothered by the parasites in thier flesh. I usually target shoot em, then feed em to seals that are pestering me.
