Sorry for the late report - just got the pics DL'ed.

Me and my boy Monte hit Paradise on 4-10. I got skunked and Monte had one drive by that was just rippin' line off of his reel and picked up this nice brown rockfish! He got it right where I scored the little ling last year. It put up quite a fight and Monte was all stoked that he caught dinner....until I told him he couldn't keep it..lol. There were tons of PBs in the area, but I didn't see any nets swingin'. We only covered the area between the pier and the point to the south.

What? I thought they were only found in drains inside the bay  :smt044

that would be "brown trout" and not brown rockfish.  :smt003

I had know idea that rockfish like that could be caught in the paradise area, then again I've never fished paradise, but I will soon. Nice pics. Nice report. Thanks.

And occasionally the hybrid subspecies known as the "Corn eyed brown trout"
