Launched at Russos and fished the track and false river for one small Black Bass on a speed trap and 2 small stripers on anchovie. Beautiful day, and fish must be in the river as the furbags were sunning on the SJ Old river buoy.
There was a pontoon boat tourney on.  Talked to one guy and he had 3 bass.  Beautiful sunny, calm water.

  I was out on a bass boat same day, for the same results exactly.  We went south to avoid the crowds, sand mound slough to the fixed bridge.  The slough had baby stripers and one largemouth bit around sunset near russo's.  Really nice day to be on the water, though, a taste of summer.
