We will be making our way down to Angels Camp this next week for a few days and then a High School trap shooting competition next weekend.  I am planning on bringing the yak down with me to try out Melones.  I have read reports of the trout bite and Koke, but it seems early for the koke run.  Any advice on lure setup or if anyone is going to be out there some help would be appreciated.  TIA

Should have good bass action, and Jeff is the bass slammer!

You probably did, we are in a white F350 with 3 kayaks across the top.  Due to other issues we didn't get out this morning, only bank fished.  This evening we are thinking of hitting up the visitors center/bridge launch to fish the pilings.  Thoughts?  I know this is closer to the stnaslaus inlet so I was thinking this might work.

We went out this afternoon with only one pulled in.  We are thinking about hitting up the marina/docks from the kayaks in the morning in search of bass.
