The striper bite was gone, as far as I could tell, but at 6:00 in the morning, when big break marina opens, I saw largemouth were hitting the surface.  I started throwing a spinnerbait but after a fish hit the spot where my line hit the water, but ignored my spinner, I tried the senko and that worked.  It was high tide and I caught four and lost one in the next hour and a half, but after 7:30 or so I got no more bites.  Looked for stripers and bass in the places I went last week but gave up at 11:00.
I think I'll try it again tomorrow morning,  I just wish I could get an earlier start.
I believe it was baitnbeer who christened that path from big break marina to the outside water "bass alley".  Now I see why.

Hey Opie, you can launch at Russo's at any time of day or night and just leave the fee in the door slot. 2 minutes and you are in Franks Tract. Just as good or better than Big Break, IMHO. Friendlier marina too. IMHO.

I was considering that but I went to Franks on a bass boat Friday and three of us worked very hard for four total bass.  That was my first time there and I think it will take a few trips to learn my way around.  This morning I wasted a little time figuring out what was up,  so tomorrow I hope to get on the bite right away at big break.

18 1/2 on the big one.  Today I went back and worked hard for four, not quite as big.  Tomorrow: Russo's.

Black Yaris with yakima racks and mako saddles.  I saw you guys out there when I wandered out from the docks for a bit.  I was going to take your picture from afar for my report but my camera got wet and I couldn't get the lens dry.
