i woke up early on saturday morning, to the sounds of freddie fending off a racoon expeditionary force.  it was cold and dark, but i had nothing better to do, so i hit the lake.  i t was a 4;30 am, i paddled solo onto the lake, trooching a minnow through the dark moonless night, kind of eerie, but mostly COLD!  i have not fished much freshwater lately, but freddie caught up to show me how it is done.

i was back at camp after daybreak, i was fortunate enough to meet kayakjack, who had a surplus of bacon and homefries!
hit the lake before lunch, and i trolled, trooched and plugged, finally a minnow fed something other than a racoon, i was HOOKED UP!  i landed a fat 18.50" lmb, my 1st in a few years.
