We went out today. Vis was horrible on the surface but not bad at the bottom. Get outside the coves and WAY away from the rivers. 3 abs 1 25 inch ling and several smaller fish.

The park ranger checked out license, tags and measured my ling.

Congrat on the Ling-Abs combo.  Thanks for the report and picture Merv.

Had a first time yaker on it today. He flipped it with the rod pod open all the way. He flipped it back over within a few seconds and there was probably less than a cup of water in it. It is nice putting all the valuables in the pod, strapping it down and not worrying what's going to happen in the surf.

I found a good spot with lots of caves and mid size abs if any of you ladies want to dive.

That ling was shallow enough that a first timer could have shot it. The rumor is that it was so far south because it was hiding from the death spear of DaveW.
