Its a little early to call the weather yet.  Salmon are generally further South early in the season.  Monterey Bay via Moss Landing should be a good bet.

The moon will be just past full and waning.  Stand by.

Not so. Dennis and myself were looking over our past logs and on April 18th2007 we limted out on salmon at bodega and had 10 legal dungeness in the pots. abalone opener? Who cares.

I was under the impression that usually they were more abundant come summertime.

As to "who cares about abs?". I do. :smt006

They may be more abundent, but we used to start fishing Salmon in Feb.
