The lake is getting full and the water is clearing, hopefully soon the fishing will pickup too.  I put in about 4.5 hours today of (mostly) drifting minnows and throwing spinners and grubs.  Nightcrawlers under a bobber were the ticket though for a bunch of these:



and this spawned out girl:



This one fell for a minnow though:



Love is in the air at mendo and there were a lot of these honkers hanging around:



On a related note, I love my new hook1 branded hawg trough!

The first time I ever went to Mendo we launched right from the parking lot!

That is exactly what I did on Sunday.  It is maybe 10 feet to the water from the parking lot and an easy launch.  Both ramps are open too if you are into that sort of thing.
