had a few hours today to kill so i hit the lake for a lot of paddling and a little fishing. launched out of yorty creek weather was nice to start, sunny and light wind, but the front started to move in this afternoon so was off the lake at 3:30 with the wind now blowing pretty good. water was starting to clear up, see what happens after this next storm, and all fish i marked were in 10-15ft where they were in 25-30ft a couple of weeks ago. ended up with a couple of bumps but no hookups, but was good to get some mileage in, cameron

Thanks for the report Cameron. I've only been there once and I can't wait to fish that lake again.

Thanks for the report!   I was at sonoma last sunday with about the same results..  also pretty windy and the water looked decent, we got a couple bumps but that was it.   We went in at the dam and trolled up the far side and I was marking fish from 40 ft to about 15, but my FF has some issues.   (weekend project is going to be switching up how I have my transducer attached)

Grats on getting out!.. I love lake sonoma and one of these days I hope to actually figure the place out.

Nice try Cameron!  Thank you for the fishing report.

Haven't been to Yorty in a while but great place to launch.  I have caught landlocked steelies near there while bass fishing, what  a blast!  Awesome cover for bass, sunken trees everywhere.  Clear lake may have bigger bass but Lake Sonoma is an incredible fishery in it's own right.  Great report Cameron!
