Adam can replace the knife in his mouth for one of these Octopus!  Now that would be a sponsor shot.

Adam I'll do some underwater footage as soon as I finish the sculpture and do the molds.  I was actually thinking of making small clear tanks as a display for a few local stores.  Can't wait to finish this one and the swimming one I've got going and see which one catches better.   Here's the pictures I used for the swimming version.  I'll post some pics as soon as possible.  Andy

Food for thought....one thing I've noticed is that local octopi that gets hacked up by lings gets hit 5 to 1 over the baby octopi we buy at stores....I don't know what it is but something differentiates the two and the fish know it (and I'm talking larger desireable fish not blues and gophers).

How big is it?  Sculpture looks awesome.....after you're done making the mold you should give it a paint job.

Thanks it's hopefully going to be something I sell to stores.  The octopus at the market are a different species and I'm thinking that could be part of it.  The one I'm going for in the pic is a giant pacific.   For size it's on a paper towel and the head is about the size of a chicken egg.  I'm going to do three sizes similar to this one and three swimming and then see what works the best.

something tells me you will have plenty of testers avail! I've seen small octopus plastics but they all look a bit cartoonish
