first dive!

after months of watching youtube videos , talkin with people , reading i finaly got wet , last time out with kevin "brdopry" it turns out he wanted to dive too and has a buddy who will show us the ropes , today we all met up at timber cove and made it happen , after gearing up we got in the water , as it got deeper panic set in with the heavy breathing but i got it under control , then i just relaxed in the water and then kevins buddy mike prepped up for our first dive down , i did allright on the diveing down but since im still getting over a head cold i couldnt clear my ears that good so i didnt go too deep , i stuck around the rocks diving about 10 feet, holding onto the kelp checking things out ,i even spotted some ABs which was real cool because this dive was only a preperation for the ab season, all in all i think we both did real good, if it wasnt for my sinuses i would of been going down deeper but i had to take an easy , next time though. im really digging this dive thing .

now i just need to do some cardio and get in shape a bit cuz im sure im gonna want to spear some fish too.
on the way home we stopped in bodega and crabbed a while for a few rock crabs and put down some cold "newcastles" , thanks for invite kevin and tell mike thanks for the lesson! till next time.

The more you are in the water, the more comfortable you are going to be. Dont sweat it. Never let anyone EVER take you beyond your comfort level. For the first time it sounds like you did well. Congrats. Timber Cove is a good spot to learn.

You know when I finally find that comfort zone I'll be hanging out with you Andy. Still
taking those baby steps into it.
