I'll be trying to get on it this weekend if not this afternoon.  Myers Flat down to the Forks should be a sweet drift with a good chance for an 8-12 pounder.  "Boondoggling" roe is the ticket - I prefer plugs and lures...

Get on it if you can!   :smt001

A buddy hooked 8 and landed 5 between Miranda and Phillipsburg on Tues. C-N-R of course.
The fishing was so good I thought I was there yesterday!

Hey Eric, do you get off the river on the gravel bar just before the bridge at the confluence? That does look like a nice drift from the road anyway. Never done it and am excited to hear about it. I got cured roe from the natives on the BigK last year.

I've been holding out on ya...   :smt004

Here's the south fork near Phillipsville this past Tuesday.  It was 1' of vis and I fished for about an hour or more.  Spoke to a driftboat who'd gotten into some fish.  Was about to leave when a nice size fish rolled in the lower hole.  I worked it hard with lures and a plug but couldn't get a bite.  I'm on it again tomorrow.   :smt001

Hey Craig.  I've gotten in and out there at the Forks before, but there are some easier spots to enter and exit upstream of there on the S. Fork.  There are world class drifts from around Phillipsville down to the Forks because of the State Park and all the oldgrowth along the river through there.  I'm tempted to get some roe and learn how to bounce it along for steelhead, but I've always loved the simplicity of the lure...

Also hit up Big Lagoon twice lately - no luck but it was nice out.  It'll all be in a movie some day.   :smt001

Where do you live?  I run on a somewhat random schedule - if the water's nice and I can bail from work and family for an hour or more I go...  I'm heading to an appointment right now and considering bailing out today!   :smt001
