Collins Lake 2-14

Chryss and I celebrated 12 years with a camping trip to Collins Lake, this time of year its very nice and relativly peaceful.  i really like that they have security patrols until 2am...something about rowdy locals from Yuba County...

Woke up lazy on Sunday and trolled in front of the dam for a while with one fish to hand and one off at the yak .  then we hiked around below the dam for a while in the wildlife area

Lure that worked was a lip-less crank, they were apparently feeding on tiny shad...

all in all a great, if not short, trip and I didn't get skunked!

cool!  Thanks for the report... im hoping to get up to collins with my dad in the next few weeks.  How was the lake level?

Thats Sam, once upon a time, far, far away, she was all black except a spot on her chest...  now she's 12 and has just a few gray hairs...lol

lake level was still a little low, but definitely fishable...see photo
