Took my son at about 2:00 to start to get him around fishing. He threw rocks in the water and played with his tractor, I let him reel the pole and when he had enough I headed up the road and dropped him off at his granparents.

Launched a little bit after 3:30 pm, saw another yaker with an NCKA sticker, who was it? I fished for about an hour and got one small LMB and that was it. Didnt really mark any fish. Water was warm and beautiful. Spring is right around the corner.

Yep, took the bare minimum of gear. I carried it down but dragged it up. Thats the last time I will do that there! It would still have been a b*tch with wheels

I love that lake.  Spent many a spring and fall weekend there.  Glad to see the water level up.  What percent full is it?

That would be a great lake for an extended lake camping/fishing trip.  There are some really neat places to make camp: beaches, islands, waterfalls.
