I had some stuff to do this AM, and decided I was going to go fishing on Presidents day.  BassmanBen had sent me some good info for fishing over at Dumbarton, but I was hesitant to go out with limited visibility and no experience on the south bay.  So I went over to Quarry Lakes and went around 1230, got there did the inspection thing, I saw a few guys leaving with boats. Asked how they did and they all look dejected.  Not a fish between three boats.  I got down to the dock and see two more boats coming out, and the same reply "no fish."  This is sounding  a lot like my continuation of the 2009 season.  There had to be an easy 50-75 shore fisherman and I only ran into one person who had caught anything.  One small trout, still all in all it was nice to get out for the first time this year. Still I am looking forward to the next Federal Holiday as it seems to be the only time I get out for fishing.

Glad you can get OTW on such a nice day!  A Trout is still better than a skunk which is what I got today at Lake Chabot  :smt003  Thanks for the report Kevin.

Stormscrambler, I almost went out that way, but it was 12 when I headed out, and knew it would be a good hour to get out there.  15 bucks for me to sit around and paddle.  I feel your pain.  I am envious of the guys who live near fishable rivers.
