Screwloose, Racinrob, Makinitcount and myself trolled from Negro Bar to the prison sign.  No love from the fish for any of us (unless you count Racinrob's crawfish).  It was still a beautiful day on the water and a great opportunity to meet fellow NCKA'ers.  After the fishing we went to Pizzeria Classico where we met Tote and Becky.  Once again a great time was had by all just getting to know new people while sharing fish stories.  Here are a few pics of the day.

Just got the message that they were at Classico when I got home.
I don't have a cell phone.
Fortunately we still managed to hook up.
Always nice to put faces with names and, as usual, always a great time.
I remembered to get a pic on the way out. Thanks for taking it Becky.
Becky and I stopped by Manderes on the way home but they were too packed.

Man... as great as Natomas looks... it's been nothing but crap to me. Too bad about not finding and takers today. That lake is still a mystery to me. Nice report and pix.

Yep, that was me. I didn't see the guys at Chicago Fire so Becky and I went to the top of the Mexican Restaurant and used it as a lookout. As soon as I saw the kayaks coming down the road I bolted out. Wasn't sure who I was trying to hail as this was the first time I met any of thses guys.
As it turned out the guys were inside of Classico and saw me when I waved at you.
Wish you guys would have made it. The pizza was off the hook. Plus, as usual, everyone was cool.

The lake looks nice. I've never had much luck fishing there. Great place to dive for crawdads. Thanks for the lake and pizza report.

Thanks for posting the pics Sashimi. It was really cool meeting other members for a paddle and pizza. I think this is something we should do on a regular basis so that we can grow the Sacto area membership.

Tote, thanks for making the drive down off the mountain and bringing Becky with you. It was very nice to meet both of you.

Your best bet is a sunburn, but on a really...really good day you might be able to get a trout, bass, crappie, bluegill or an occasional catfish. If you go up the river closer to the prison there are some decent size trout....

So I am a little late posting!!! It was good to meet up with you all, good conversations up by the prison line while trying to fish......otherwise it would of been a long and boring sit and wait for nothing "like usual" on Lake Natomas. I think I am 0 for 20 on that lake now :smt009 I'm all for Folsom Lake next time....actually tomorrow sounds good for Folsom! Pizza and Beer was a good way to finish the day with a great group of NCKA members! Count me in for next time!!!! :smt006

I'll add a few more pictures.........
