My wifes family is heading up to tahoe this weekend. i have to work till saturday night. thinking about heading up there sunday morning about 4am. spend sunday with her for valentines day and then fish monday morning on the lake. If anyone is gonna be up there or wants to go let me know? as of right now i am headed up there alone. Or you you could just post a tip or two that would be great. It would be my first time fishing there. i would like to take my yak up there, but if there is a good kayak rental up there. please let me know.                                 Thanks  Bulldog.  Tight lines :smt006

This time of year only snowboard rentals.  That's what most 'kayak' shops do during the winter to stay alive.
Low's will be about 29 and will drop significantly if there is any breeze OTW. Be prepared.
Cave Rock would probably be your easiest launch. There is also an easy launch right across from Campgrond By The Lake.
Good Luck
