I have the wood lami version of the  sea feather and love it. It is lighter than you think for being made entirely of wood. Sawyer also stands by their oars and paddles, I sent mine back to them because the resin was separating from the wood and got a new replacement, no questions. And they are close-Medford OR I think.
If you're not living on the edge - you're taking up too much space!

looks like a great paddle. I use an onno one piece with a small blade (he calles it a feather I think). probably similar feel.
