Met up with Fishdit at the Granite Bay boat ramp around 6:45am (gates normally open at 7:00am) on the water around 7am. The wind made it a little choppy until the sun came out, and then it was like glass.

Headed towards the dam, within 15min. bammm fish on........then fish off (hit it hard too) made our way to the dam and first fish to the yak 15" bow. Nothing for another 2hrs. left the dam....and fish on again, this one a little smalller 14". 4 more solid hits for the day, and lost one at the yak on my way in, off the water at 3:00pm. Fishdit stayed out longer and hope he had success????

Everything was on the top 12ft. in 30-40ft. of water.

They must of just planted Folsom, a bunch of shore anglers around the boat ramp.

Tackle: UV humdinger with a dodger and tipped with a worm.
Orange Hoochie with Pink dodger, and a darth raider set up, all got hits!

It was good meeting and fishing with you Fishdit! I'll let you know if I go out there again next week!

Very solid outing. It's been a while since I've been out on Folsom and I'm only 10 minutes away too. Going to have to get out there soon.

That was a good time, and great meeting ya Makinitcount!

I only had 1 solid bite for the day. That lake sure is a good challenge... you need to know a few things I don't yet that's for sure :) Its amazing how low that water is too!

On the way out Makinitcount had a killer hit. I was bummed it came off!

Starting out in the morning.

His second landed fish at the Dam.

I got warned a couple times for going into the restricted area. The second time they sounded a noisy alarm. Gota watch the buoys :)

On the way back in I had a few jumpers around that were not interested in what I was doing :( Next trip ill be armed with a bit more tackle and ideas.

Good times!

That happened to me at Shasta lake a few months back,
I guess they are worried we will fill the kayak with high explosives and blow up the dams :smt003

WTG on the trout trolling, thanks for the report :smt004

Thanks everyone!!! I put a lot of hours in on the lake.........so I'll be out on the lake again tomorrow and see if it wasn't luck on the last outting  :smt003 Thanks for the pictures fishdit! I captured a few of you on the water, but the darn camera blurred it. Let me know the next time you go out? I'll join you! Don't forget the dodgers, hoochies, criplures, wedding rings, oh and the worms!

Screwloose - I try to put in one midweek trip a week! Folsom, Berryessa, Natoma, Deep Water Channel. A bunch of lakes in the foothills (when the snow is melted)
