Does anyone use anything special to clean their kayak to get out dirt stains?  I'm thinking of using dishwashing detergent and a scrub brush.

Nice thing about the materials they are made out of is they clean easy. I usually just use plain water. If its full of fish ick i'll use a natural Green cleaner.

"Soft scrub" or liquid dishwasher solution containing bleach, followed by pressure washing! Works great on boats also. Let it sit then blast it off, scrubbing optional.

Thats exactly what I do and when I get done the boat looks and smells brand new. I usually follow up by spraying my (cobra hatches) with a little bit of spray silicone.

I use a little car wash concentrate and water to clean, then when I want to be spiffy, I use a little spray turle wax on the bottom so that I can glide through the water with ease :smt003

Just a wet towel. If it is an especially dirty spot I might use a bit of car wash soap, but rarely.

My main reason for cleaning the kayak myself is to check for any deep scratches
on the bottom of the boat. I would use a brush and plain water that's all and let
it drip dry.

I just go straight for the pressure wash ... no cleaning solution needed.

watch out for stickers that used to be stuck on and a good ol' Brush&ElbowGrease will do it too.
