I haven't bought it yet. I've had a busy couple of weeks and I'm leaving tomorrow for a family vacation to San Diego. I'm planning to pull the trigger on one when I get back. Right now my budget won't allow for a new Outback so I'm likely looking at a used Hobie or maybe a new paddle only yak. I've used my brothers hobie with the mirage drive. It's a nice boat that for sure. I'm sure I'll have both at some point in the future. The rod pod sounds like it's got it's fans too. I fish all over but the ocean is where I'd rather be.

I made some bungie cords with snap clips on the end so that I could secure stuff in case I flip. That would work to secure the Mirage drive too. I got the bungie material and plastic snap clips at REI. The clips are in their yak section and the bungie cord is with the rest of the rope.

Where do you usually fish?
Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

I fish all over gn. I look for the hookup and normally that is where I go. I love
meeting and fishing with new people. Hope to fish with you soon.
