Hit the delta with Lawrence C. to chase some stripers with fly gear. Used both T14 & intermediate heads, with several different flies. Lawrence got a bite on a small black streamer, but that was it. I'm going to tie up some miniature clousers for my next trip.

We had a good incoming in the AM, then decent flow with the outgo in the PM. Maybe in winter the stripers don't want the water moving so fast?? Did find some areas that the water got up to 50 degrees. Good clarity everywhere, so that wasn't it.

Got these photos of an American Bittern in a little channel between 2 islands. Also saw lots of raptors, egrets, herons & geese. Plus a beaver & some sandhills & swans flying over. So no complaints on the non-fish wildife.

Plus we had the place to ourselves - for the obvious reason!

Hey I think I saw that same bird on Saturday! We got one 16" striper - no one I talked to was doing anything.
