1700 cfs
low clouds/fog with light rain

My cousin and I drifted from Sailor bar past San Juan "rapids" throwing pink worms, crawlers with beads, spin'n'glows and little Cleo's.  We also backplugged kwikfish and Hot Shots.  The only strikes we got were on beaded crawlers and pink worms, but we didn't manage to get them to the yaks.  We saw 2 ragged steelies caught on beaded crawlers.

No fish, but a great day on the river.

Way to give it a try!  Sorry for the unbuttoned fish and thanks for the report Adam.

A friendly word of warning for anyone who might be fishing the Nimbus-Ancill Hoffman stretch: Make sure your barb less hooks are completely filed.  DFG is running cotton swabs over active hooks.

I learned that one the expensive way  $500 fine, on the Klamath River one of the barbs on a spinner treble hook was not crimped down enough :smt009

I'm up for Collins, but I prefer to fish for chromers this time of year.  I'm going to the American tomorrow if you want to join.

Take some pictures next time Adam. Way to give it a try. Good luck tomorrow. I
wish I didn't have to work OT or else I'd be there.
