Planning on heading to Disco bay either Friday or Sat. depending on weather to see if I can locate some slabs. Company welcome. I've only launched there with the non-yak boat before. Anyone know of a Freebie place to launch a yak in that area?

I just scouted the west side and all I could find were areas where you would need two people to negotiate the rockwalls. It's doable, but two people for sure. I thought the area below looked the most promising.

Using Google Earth,
Type 2186 Newport Dr.,Discovery Bay CA

You'll see a small bridge over a canal that leads into the West side of Disco Bay.

By the way, there's no charge to launch kayaks at the Marina if you want to hit that side.

Good luck

The marina side is usually a better bet for cold weather stripers

Thanks for the info guys, I think I'm going to Whiskey Slough after the report I read, looks like the slabs are there for sure.
