I will be hitting the American somewhere below the Hazel bridge for the opener.  Anyone keen?

On an unrelated note: If someone can message me abking's e-mail address, I would greatly appreciate it.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

what day? you yaking?  I live less than 1 mile from the hazel street bridge.  Ive been fishing it since the steelhead first arrived.  Im not a big fan of fishingg the basing while the river is closed.
Everybody should have the opportunity to fish

I wanted to go within a day or two from when the river opens (Jan 1-3).  I checked out the basin a few days ago and the gate is still closed.

Hey ATF,

If I can get a window of time I'd like to try the AR with you.

Tried for Steel 10 yrs ago with the fly rod and ended up getting surprised
as i snapped my trout leader on a huge one that showed it's head to the gills
when it mouthed my dry offering! :smt013

I've got unfinished business on the AR!

Let me know when/time.

Will you be fishing from the yak or beaching and wading?

The AR opens on Jan 1st, so I want to go sometime between the 1st and 4th(Monday).  I prefer to kayak, but I suspect if we go the 1st or 2nd it might be too crowded.

If your in a yak you shouldn't have a problem with the crowds. I'd bring a drift anchor if you have one and fish the riffles downstream.

I'm thinking about hitting it Saturday or Sunday let me know if you still planning on going. I will most likey be fishing between Sunrise and Hazel paddling up and anchoring in the drifts.
