Happy Holidays! Sorry for the non yak post, but I had to share this beautiful Rainbow  with you all. Took out my 13'8" aluminum yesterday morning and was toplining a 5" and a 8" AC skinny in Rainbow pattern. I had motor problems as soon as I let out my lines(6:30am 22 degrees) Finally got it to fire by asking nicely, PLEASE! A little after 7 the 8" gets hit on the outside. Netted this 22" 4pound 8oz Beauty! Decided to keep it for my Mom who is visiting.Take care and good luck, Eric :smt001

"thats going to taste good I'd bet" You are right on! Tahoe's trout are some of the tastiest trout anywhere! Cold, pure water with plenty of krill/crawdads make the meat a delicious pinkish/orange, almost like salmon. This fish had 7 smaller crawdads in it's belly, one of which was still alive when I gutted it! We ate it Thurs night and again yesterday, lot's of leftovers on a 4+ pounder. Thanks for all the replys and good luck, Eric :smt001

Beautiful fish!  Im looking forward to getting my kayak up there this year.  Brother in law lives in Meyers so I got no excuse!   Do you use the yak up there much in winter months?
