I've removed my original post, thanks to all who gave a supporting response, but PAL added his comments to the thread and I believe he made some valid points so I removed my little rant for the benefit of all concerned.

If you see my name in WON, and know me you'll understand why I was ticked off.

I have recieved an apology of sorts from Bud Neville and I still believe him to be one of the best and most level headed outdoor writers in our area.

I also believe that WON is the best outdoor publication in our area,

And I think I'll let it go at that.

This is the second post I've taken down in the last few weeks, guess I better learn to calm down a bit before I hit that send button :fish

I've never really felt regret about hitting the send button dale, I don't think anyone should.  That reply that got printed was pretty condescending (and a little confusing.....I think I mighta missed something).  I read PAL's comments as well and I didn't agree with them at all. Quite frankly, whether they wanna recognize kayak fishing in their publication or not doesn't really matter to me.  With the steady availability of timely unedited kayak and general fishing content on the web I don't really read or need print media much anymore....does anyone?

Part of the reason I took down my post was that I realized I was pissed at an entire organization over what one person said, sound familiar?

And nothing positive could come of it,

I read WON and will continue to do so because to me it's another source of info and stories that I enjoy,

And besides, I'm one of the old people who like to read things on a piece of paper that they can hold in their hands.
