I'm looking at getting a waterproof digital camera.  I've been doing a lot of research on the Pentax Optio W80.  What are your guys opinions on this or should I look at a different model.  I'm open to any camera ideas.  Thank you!

I've been using my Olympus 1030SW for the last 2 years and love it.  You can read the full review here:

It pretty much used to be just Pentax and Olympus but now there are several others on the market.  To each his own, so a little due diligence will go a long way.

I've been giving significant consideration to the following Panasonic model that also takes HD video:

Lumix DMC-TS1S

Sells in the sub-$300 range

You should have seen the one that got away!

I'm in the same boat as fuzz mine's a 20 or 30 it's been through a lot even dropped it a couple of times in the water without the latch and it's still going strong it could die tomorrow and I would have no complaints.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Here comparsion review http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/Q209waterproofgroup/

If you want to shoot Video looks like the Panasonic is the one to get and the stills are almost as good as the Cannon and better in lower light

Check out the Canon D10. Or just look at some pics on my posts. It is a great camera. Good underwater video too, to 33 feet depth.

Hey guys thanks for all of your input.  I saw that Pentax has a special on their Optio W80 right now for $269.  I think I will be ordering this bad boy this week.  Thanks
