Salt and some spices. Eric is right. Iuse a halh cup per gallon. Brian, if you dont add salt you will leach the salt out of the crab meat when you boil. All Bay seasonings are another fav for added flavor.

Yes, awesome! One of the NCKAers turned me onto putting a liter of Mountain Dew in the pot with the water, kind of sweetens it up a bit but not too much. Time for corn and Crab soup.

Nice! Thanks for the report.

FWIW - if you launch at the base of the jetty the you don't really need to worry about the waves.

Steam them.  Just enough salt water (from the ocean) that it doesn't boil off during the cooking time ... 20 minutes.

Nice one Cameron.
Add this to your list:

Do not go to Doran by the Jetties on veterans Day since there will probably be around 30-40 traps set by the by 8:00am by people with aluminum boats. :smt013

My friends and I were able to catch enough to eat there and have a good time with our kids.
Sorry no pictures. :smt003

thanks guys, yeah i had a good day, still have a few kinks to work out but looks like i will be able to build enough WAF to take may off and head to baja for a month, craig the crabs were in a soaked burlap sack and i put the ice in there just to cool off the ice chest, got really warm in the truck, that shot was just before going in to the pot, and yes i swept up the leaves today, :smt002 hightide looked like you guys were having a great family day, stopped over there but you guys were still out there playing, cameron

Cameron, thanks for the report.
I'll be going sometime this weekend in my neck of the woods.
I usually use some of the water they came out of for boiling them in.
Mmmmm, I love the butter! Slurp!
