Micfish has the answer right there! btw what did you use to cut the female conn. i had some of the black female connectors, which are a thicker gauge and they were difficult to cut.

M2 Ive been trying to get OPS to order some, but they are seriously lax on this issue. Last year I asked them to please stock some, and they said 1. they werent effective, so I took them to the back room , jumped on the internet and showed them some pics of the pots stuffed.
2. they said they wouldnt sell, but they got 2 cases anyway, and they were all gone within 2 days.Ill phone em 2day and see if the order is in.

just curious...do the rings have to be on the sides to be legal?  or is it ok to have them installed on the top?

I ran into Mike from OPS this morning. He says they have the non ringed Promar traps in and was talking about another type of collpsable they got in as well.

Crab traps shall have no less than two rigid circular openings of not less than four and one quarter inches inside diameter so constructed that the lowest portion of each opening is no lower than five inches from the top of the trap.
