So I'm just goofing around, waiting for an expected evening bite, when I see on the split-image view:

After verifying the presence of  4-6lbers, I switch over to single SideImaging view to get a better look. Here's a image looking out 50'.

In the upper left, the dark slashes are fish. Underneath 3 of them, the white areas are the SI "shadows" from the fish. At that time I was moving pretty slowly, so the fish are probably moving the opposite direction. If they were moving in the same direction/speed, the slashes would be longer.

Here's an image looking out 101'

The shadows are harder to see, but the dark slashes indicate the school was on the left.

These static images are harder to interpret than actually seeing them develop on the screen, where your brain can factor in your own boat speed and direction.

The fish were fat like guppies, they seemed to prefer smelt-like imitations like Clousers or this Seahabit

A darker chunky fly was not as good.

There was clouds of bait everywhere, not sure if they were smelt or threadfin.

The evening bite never happened, I think the fish were too full.
