Afternoon hit at Cuttings Wharf.  Cruised up with the tide to the Southern Crossing bridge and caught a few small fish on cut achovies, cruised back before sunset and hit a half dozen on the troll, biggest was perhaps 16-18 inches.  Weather was fantasic, and looks very fishy!

Forgot to mention i was on the phone doing business and trolling at the same time, had a red head jig with white body on and it got absolutely slammed and before I could grab my rod the line had snapped.  I know I was trolling in about 12 feet of water on a muddy bottom, with nothing to snag, I believe something big grabbed it and snapped it!   Oh well, it beats working at my desk!

Cuttings Wharf is on Cuttings Wharf Road, off of Highway 121/12 just west of Highway 29.  It is a free launching site with a nice ramp, hard to believe in this day and age eh?

Thanks for the report, Z.

I was there on Saturday fishing bullheads from my buddy's PB.

Had about the same results as you.

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

I took a pretty fair look around and didn't see any launch fee boxes anywhere.   Quite a nice launch, although the local bank fisherman looked a bit spooky!

Do you park your vehicle in this parking lot?  Any parking fee?

No fee, and unlike the lot at the parking lot at Montezuma Slough's ramp, no evidence of smashed glass from a hole thieves!   There is also a free ramp up the river on the other side at Kennedy Park.
