San Jose Flycasters has a casting pool in Los Gatos Creek Park in Campbell. If you go there on a Saturday or a club event day, you can pick up so casting pointers.

Al,

Let me know if you wanna go some time. It's been a while since I have been out with the fly rod. Actually, since I started yak fishing. Hmmm, maybe I have forgotten all my bad habits. Eh who am I kidding I love undoing wind knots!

Your a brave man!

My friend fly fishes for stripers all the time, and after 5-7yrs of trying he actually catches them now.  He kept with it during the beginning, learning(skunk) stages. I keep thinking about trying it, got a 9' 6wt 2 piece combo loaded with Wt forward, somethingorother stashed somewhere I got at ISE show many yrs back.  It's another form of fishing I don't have interest in learning right now.
I'm still trying to get surf fishing, and have yet to do any rockfishing (season closing soon so it'll have to be next season for me)
