My friend & I were just talking about launching a dedicated effort to fish Pyramid lake early/mid next year. We were laughing about the ladders. I'm ready to camp/ladder fish/& yak that freakin' place. I have a score to settle with Nevada anyway. PS- I was just in Reno and saw baby browns, and one keeper size swimming in the Truckee downtown at the new water park. Lot's of craw-dad dog fighting too. Would be a good place to pick up some live bait for pyramid - it's on the way (here kitty kitty). I'm hoping to go for the native cutthroats at pyramid. I also scoped out the sweetest 44-year-old bait & tackle shop in Reno, which would be another worthwhile stop on the way to Pyramid.

We could make this trip really fun. I'm in.

Only barbless artificial lures/flies. No bait allowed. Be sure to check the regs before you go...they're unusual.

Definitely worth the trip though! Good luck!

I asked Brian about this a little while ago and he said he is not sure if he can do it.  Still up in the air.  If he can't maybe we can schedule a hookup ourselves?  I'm thinking taking a week around Easter to do both Tahoe and Pyramid and would be happy to meet up with you.

I'm up for the trip.  I have been considering going to Pyramid for a while now.  Now that I have my kayak I have an even better excuse to go.
