I am off Tues, weds. and Thurs. I am open to suggestions for any fishing or crabbing these days, I just have to be able to be back in Pacifica by 5pm. Anyone free?

Joe - I got Thursday off - maybe a trip to San luis or the Forebay for Stripers? Lemme know.

Carmel / Stillwater could be another choice - weather permits.

Or even Lake Mendo....

ahhh....so many places to fish...so little time  :smt002

anything but Mendo, sounds like that may be close to impossible to make it back by 5pm.  Thursday works, just pm when you decide, I am game for anything, by the way your rod didn't catch any fish for me, maybe it will work better if I pay for it.... :smt023

Weather should be improving for Wed and Thurs.  I'm game to do a crabbing/rockfishing combo at HMB or Linda Mar.

Heh guys, please keep me in the loop for Thursday.  I may be game for something if I get out of work.
Though, conditions don't look exactly ideal.......but so far doable?

I like to hookup a keeper ling for the season,  so I like to head out to Pat/Randy's backyard playground - Carmel - either Wednesday or Thursday.

For lings I really like to use my custom "swimcurl" baits but you can use 5" berkley power grubs. Root beer + gold flake are the got to color. You will not catch a lot of rockfish usually but lings seem to like the action of the tail a lot.

Also before anyone freaks out it is not that you will not catch lings on other lures/bait it is that you will catch a lot of other fish on the other lure bait combos. Blues and other rockies really like the flash of an iron so you will catch a lot more of them and your lure won't have a lot of time in front of Mr. Lingzilla
